Fat Boys Golf Carts began as a passion project for a father-daughter team, Steve Smallwood and Cindal Bryan. In 2004 the pair started building custom-bodied golf carts purely for fun, creating designs like the "65 Pony" and the "57 Classic." Their creations drew so much attention, and so many offers to buy their personal carts, that they decided to build more to sell. The first carts were displayed outside the family's convenience store. As demand grew, the business moved to a highly visible location with room to show off carts and accessories.
The dealership sits near historic Covington, Georgia, a short drive from the Atlanta perimeter and right by Interstate 20. Growth in the golf cart industry has since led the team to open additional stores in Athens and Eatonton/Lake Oconee offering the same products and services. Customers can choose from E-Z-GO golf carts ranging from straight-off-the-course models to fully customized builds. Options include rear seats, lift kits, street legal kits, custom paint and interiors, sound systems, and hunting and fishing setups for outdoor enthusiasts.
